A Moment in Bali That Changed Everything

In 2017, while visiting Bali, I was shown a video of a handpan for the first time. The sound struck me deeply: warm, pure, and almost otherworldly. It planted a seed of curiosity that soon grew into a deep passion for sound and craftsmanship.
A year later, I returned to Bali and met several talented local artists and craftsmen. Their dedication, precision, and love for their work were contagious. Together, we began creating: shaping metal and wood into instruments that could speak to the soul.

The Road to Perfection

Driven by our shared vision, we built a small studio surrounded by rice fields. A place where craftsmanship and creativity could thrive.

We equipped it with the best tools, experimented with different materials, scales, and finishes, and slowly refined every step of our process.
Every instrument we create today is the result of those years of exploration. Instruments that not only sound exceptional, but carry a story, a feeling, and the touch of every craftsman involved.

A New Beginning

Our Impact

From the very beginning, we wanted LIDAH to be more than just an instrument brand — it had to give back. We proudly collaborate with local Balinese artisans, paying fair wages and ensuring that their skills are valued and preserved.
A portion of every purchase supports YKPA Foster Home, a local orphanage caring for over 40 children in Bali.

By choosing LIDAH, you help provide education, food, and opportunities for these children — turning sound into positive change.

A Sustainable Future

Sustainability is at the heart of what we do. For every wooden instrument we sell, we plant a tree in Indonesia, helping restore balance to the ecosystems that give us our materials.

We also work to minimize waste, recycle packaging, and continuously reduce our CO₂ footprint.
Because every sound we create should resonate not only with people — but with the planet.

Thank You for Being Part of Our Journey

Every LIDAH instrument is a piece of our story — and now, part of yours. By supporting our craft, you help us continue building something truly meaningful:

Music that heals, connects, and inspires.
